Turn clicks into a farm that runs while you are away. Here is what each upgrade and machine is for, and how they connect.
Upgrades vs machines
Upgrades are stats you buy (Click Amount, Seed Luck, and so on). Equipment is placed on your map (sprinklers, harvester, belt, hive). You need a sensible mix: upgrades make your farm stronger; machines change what you can do without standing at each plant.

Automatically harvests crops within its coverage radius without player input. Place at the end of a planting row for full coverage. Does not auto-sell — crops still require collection to the Sell Station without a Conveyor Belt.
Automatically collects harvested crops from plots in its range. When paired with a Conveyor Belt, creates a fully automated harvest-to-sell pipeline. This is the most important equipment purchase in the entire game.
Transports harvested crops from the Auto-Harvester to the Sell Station automatically. The missing link in the passive income chain — without it, crops pile up at the harvester. Buy simultaneously with the Auto-Harvester.
An upgraded version of the Auto-Harvester with double the harvesting speed and a wider coverage radius. Replaces standard Auto-Harvesters in the late game. Significantly increases passive income per hour.
Placed inside the Bee Area zone. Bees fly from the hive across your farm, passively boosting crop productivity and sell value. Stacks with all other bonuses. Get one free with code BUZZBUZZ.
Sprinkler rules (short)
- Two same-type sprinklers next to each other do not “double” speed — they mostly extend who gets watered.
- Put a sprinkler at each end of a row to cover the strip well.
- Once you have two or more sprinklers, Sprinkler Power is usually worth it.
Harvester + belt
The Auto-Harvester picks mature crops in range. The Conveyor Belt moves that crop toward the sell spot. With both, you are not hand-running fruit to the station. If you can only buy one, you may still be stuck — many players save for both together (~100K total feel on many farms).
Bees (Update 2)
Unlock the Bee Area, add a hive, and bees add passive help on top of everything else. Redeem BUZZBUZZ in Settings for a free Nature Bee when you are ready. More detail on codes: codes page.
Layout snapshots

What should I upgrade first in Build A Farm Factory?
The recommended upgrade order is: (1) Click Amount ×3, (2) Seed Luck ×2, (3) Seed Lock when a Rare seed drops, (4) Sprinkler Power once you own 2+ Sprinklers, (5) Seed Rolls after Seed Luck is established. This order maximises income at every stage of early progression.
How do Sprinklers work in Build A Farm Factory?
Sprinklers automatically harvest crops within their coverage radius without player input. They do not stack speed when placed side-by-side (same type) — instead they extend coverage area. Place one at each end of a planting row for full coverage. Upgrade Sprinkler Power to increase harvest speed across all placed sprinklers simultaneously.
What does the Conveyor Belt do?
The Conveyor Belt transports harvested crops from the Auto-Harvester to the Sell Station automatically. Without it, even with an Auto-Harvester running, crops pile up and require manual collection. Always purchase the Conveyor Belt at the same time as the Auto-Harvester — they form the complete passive income pipeline together.
How do I get the Bee Area in Build A Farm Factory?
The Bee Area is a purchasable zone introduced in Update 2. Buy the Bee Area unlock from the upgrade/shop menu, then place a Beehive inside the zone. What is the best Build A Farm Factory layout for making money fast?
The best layouts vary by stage. Early game: two Sprinklers at row ends with Strawberry. Mid game: Auto-Harvester + Conveyor Belt + Rare seed with Sprinklers covering all rows.
