Two layers
Plant Mastery is per crop: the more you harvest that crop, the more that crop’s sell bonus grows. Star Mastery is global: it boosts everything you sell once you meet the unlock steps.
🌱 Plant Mastery
Plant Mastery is a per-crop progression system. Each time you harvest a specific crop, that crop's Mastery meter fills. When the meter is complete, you earn a permanent sell price multiplier for that crop. This multiplier applies every time you sell that crop for the rest of your playthrough — it never resets.
How it moves
- Harvest any crop repeatedly — each harvest adds progress to that crop's Mastery meter
- Progress is visible as a fill bar in the crop's info panel
- When the meter reaches 100%, the Mastery level completes and a sell price multiplier is permanently applied
- Multiple Mastery levels exist per crop — each completion grants a further multiplier stacked on the previous
- Completing all Plant Masteries for a crop type qualifies you for Star Mastery Tier 2 unlock conditions
Tip: The fastest overall Mastery strategy is: Strawberry first (fastest growth = fastest meter fill), then Carrot while building automation, then mid-tier crops AFK once Auto-Harvester is running, then Mythic Pineapple in long AFK sessions. Never abandon a Mastery at 80%+ — always complete it before switching.

⭐ Star Tier 1 & 2
Star Mastery Tier 1 unlocks when you complete your first Plant Mastery (any crop). It applies a global sell price multiplier to ALL crops simultaneously — not just the one you completed Mastery for. This means every Strawberry, Corn, and Pineapple you sell earns more from the moment Tier 1 activates.
Star Mastery Tier 2 is the highest income multiplier in Build A Farm Factory. It requires completing multiple Plant Masteries (community consensus suggests 3–5 crop completions) combined with a significant total coins earned milestone (estimated 1M+ coins). Tier 2 builds on top of Tier 1, substantially amplifying the global multiplier. Players describe income acceleration after Tier 2 as transformative.
Tier 2 tips
- Prioritise completing Strawberry and Carrot Mastery first — they're the fastest to finish
- Don't rush to Mythic seeds before you have Tier 1 — the multiplier from Tier 1 on Pineapple income is significant
- Tier 2 unlocks automatically when conditions are met — you'll see a notification in-game
- After Tier 2 unlocks, the best action is to immediately switch all plots to Mythic Pineapple if you haven't already
- AFK farming overnight accelerates both the coin milestone and Mastery progress simultaneously

Mythic seeds are obtained through the seed roll system. To improve your chances: upgrade Seed Luck to Level 4–5 first, then upgrade Seed Rolls for multiple attempts per action. Mythic seeds are rare by design — expect to invest significant Seed Luck and Seed Rolls upgrade coins before one drops. When it does, immediately buy Seed Lock.
